Charity Criteria
- Charities are nominated by our members.
- Nominations must be submitted in the month prior to any meeting.
- To qualify, a charity must be registered and able to provide charitable tax receipts.
- Charity must serve in and impact our local community.
- National and International charities are ineligible as the focus is on local needs unless funds are specifically for a local project.
- Charity must be established in the area for more than one year… no start-ups.
- Charity must be able to send a representative to our meeting with a five minute presentation as to how the funds would be used in our area.
- Organization must agree not to collect our members’ contact information, and agree not to solicit our members directly for further contributions.
- Charities successful in receiving funds may be nominated again after 24 months while those Charities who present a but are not chosen, may be nominated again after 6 months.
- Successfull recipients must agree to attend the next meeting to give a five-minute update on how funds were used in our community.
